Ghanaian forward Jonathan Sowah has continued his impressive form in Tanzania, netting his second goal in three matches as Singida Black Stars secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over JKT on Thursday.
The former Medeama SC striker scored the match-winning goal in the second half, helping Singida claim all three points at the Major General Isamuyo Stadium.
This crucial win moves Singida Black Stars to fourth place on the league table as they prepare for their upcoming clash against Tanzanian giants, Young Africans (Yanga SC).
After being named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance, Sowah expressed his excitement and admiration for Yanga SC, hinting at a possible future with the club:
“Yanga is like my home. Even when they came to Singida, I told them that. The President of Yanga is like an angel to me, he is a father to me, he is a very good human being, and I believe that one day I will play for Yanga. There is no doubt that it is just a matter of time.”
Meanwhile, his compatriot and former Ghana Premier League Player of the Year, Emmanuel Keyekeh, might miss the Yanga clash due to suspension.
