Belgium-based Ghana forward Joseph Paintsil has justified why most Ghanaians were crying for his inclusion into the Black Stars team.
The forward in two games against the Palancas Negras of Angola proved the supporters right about their outrage concerning his continuous snub.
Paintsil played a role of a substitute in both games of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola in Luanda and in Kumasi at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
When he was introduced in the second half of the match against Angola in Kumasi, the KRC Genk hitman drew a free-kick closer to the box which resulted in Ghana’s late winner.
In the case of the second leg clash in Luanda, Paintsil came on as a second-half substitute for the Black Stars when they drew 1-1 to stay top of the table.
He assisted Osman Bukari to score the equalizer for the Black Stars team as they drew after going a goal down early in the second half of the match.
He has already proven himself to be very effective and has justified why most Ghanaians wanted him to be in the Black Stars team with two contributions leading to two vital goals.
