Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil has reaffirmed his aspiration to play in the English Premier League amidst growing interest from various clubs.
The winger’s impressive performances for KRC Genk in Belgium have attracted attention from English and other top European leagues.
Notably, Brentford, Fulham, Arsenal and Brighton are among the clubs rumored to be interested in securing the services of the talented Ghanaian.
In an interview with 3FM, Paintsil emphasized his belief that the Premier League is the top competition in Europe and expressed his readiness to compete in that league.
“But it’s football and this is the duty of the agent. For me, I’ve already done what I’m supposed to do. So I will just leave it for my agent and the club to decide.
Paintsil further expressed his excitement at the prospect of English teams approaching him, as it would allow him to showcase his abilities and demonstrate his commitment to whichever club he joins.
“I will be really happy if teams in England approach and take my best moments and I also show the world and England that I’m capable of giving 100% commitment to whichever club I join.
Having scored 18 goals and provided 14 assists in all competitions, Paintsil played a crucial role in helping Genk secure a place in the UEFA Champions League.
Prior to joining the Black Stars camp for the upcoming AFCON 2023 qualifier against Madagascar on June 18, the former Tema Youth star remains focused on his international duties.
