After being charged with defilement and sexual assault, midfielder Philip Flamini has been suspended by Karela United pending an investigation and final court decision.
The Aiyinase-based club released a statement confirming the suspension of the 24-year-old player.
A statement from the club the club reads;
Flamini joined Karela United from Sekondi Hasacaas in 2021 and played in six games during the first round of the season.
However, he will now be unavailable for the foreseeable future after being remanded into custody by the Ellembelle District Court in the Western Region for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old school girl.
Flamini’s contract with the club is set to expire in a few months.
