Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has admitted that his team faces a difficult test this weekend as they prepare to take on arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in the highly anticipated Super Clash of the Ghana Premier League.
In a pre-match interview with AKSC Media, Coach Zito acknowledged the strength of their opponents and noted that the match will not be like any regular league fixture.
“Hearts of Oak are not a bad side. In some of their games, they were just unlucky not to get the results,” he said. “This match is going to be very tough because Kotoko vs. Hearts is never like playing any other team. On Sunday, both sides will have to fight hard—it won’t be easy.”
He emphasized the unpredictable nature of the clash, noting that anything can happen right up until the final whistle.
“With this kind of game, you can’t predict the outcome until the 90th minute. But one thing is certain—we’re approaching it with a winning mindset. That’s something I won’t hide. We’re preparing to win, but the pitch will ultimately decide,” he added.
The Super Clash is scheduled for Sunday, May 4, at 3:00 PM at the Accra Sports Stadium. Both clubs will be hoping to claim bragging rights in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.
