Karim Zito: “Coaches come and go, no hard feelings toward Kotoko”

Former Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito has emphasized that he holds no ill feelings toward the club following his resignation.

Zito, who replaced Prosper Narteh Ogum midway through last season, stepped down after Kotoko’s elimination from the FA Cup in a penalty shootout against Aduana FC, a period that also saw the Porcupine Warriors claim just one victory in six matches under his guidance.

Speaking to Kessben FM, Zito said:

“I left Asante Kotoko without any grudge. Not even being stabbed in the line of duty by bandits could sour me on the club. Coaches will always come and go. It is normal, so no hard feelings at all.”

During his tenure, Zito led Kotoko to several successes, including victories in the FA Cup, President’s Cup, Champion of Champions, and Toyota Cup.

The former Kotoko boss has now taken up a new challenge as head coach of Division One League side AshantiGold, signaling a fresh chapter in his coaching career.
