After scoring the winning goal to propel FC Basel to the semifinals of the UEFA Europa Conference League, Ghanaian footballer Kasim Nuhu Adams expressed his joy on social media.
The former Black Stars defender scored in extra time to secure a 2-1 victory over French side OGC Nice in the quarterfinals.
The 27-year-old’s tweet read, “Alhamdulillah for everything I have, Alhamdulillah for everything I had and Alhamdulillah for everything I will have.”
The Swiss giants advanced to the next round with a 4-3 aggregate, having ended the first leg in a 2-2 draw.
Ghanaian U23 midfielder Emmanuel Essiam was also part of the game and made an appearance in the 106th minute.
Basel will face Fiorentina, an Italian club, in the Conference League semifinals next month.
