Kasper Schmeichel lauds Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru’s big-game performance

Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has earned high praise from Anderlecht goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel for his stellar display in their recent match.

Despite a goalless draw against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the Belgian Pro League Championship round on Sunday, Ashimeru stood out as a key player on the field.

With two successful dribbles, one crucial pass, and eight ground duels won, Ashimeru demonstrated his worth in just 68 minutes of play.

Schmeichel lauded his teammate, stating, “He showed that he is a big player.”

Despite battling injuries since the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Ashimeru’s impact on the pitch hasn’t gone unnoticed by his teammates, who value his contributions immensely.
