Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum, expressed gratitude for the tremendous support from the fans following the team’s second victory in three matches.
Kotoko’s unbeaten streak now spans three games, setting a positive tone as they approach the final stretch of matches in the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season. Goals from Nurudeen Mohammed and Steven Mukwala sealed the victory, further bolstering the team’s confidence and morale.
Speaking in his post-game interview, Ogum acknowledged the crucial role played by the supporters as his team secured a 2-0 triumph over Legon Cities at the Baba Yara Stadium.
“Today they came, they sang, they supported us. I didn’t see the ranting when they (the players) made the errors which is good because the more they rant at the players, the more they hoot and boo at the players, the more tense they become when they are playing at Baba Yara,” said the gaffer.
“So they should keep this spirit for the rest of the five games and I’m sure we will be able to turn things around.”
Kotoko play Berekum Chelsea at Berekum on Friday, May 17.
