RC Lens, the French Ligue 1 club, has secured the services of highly-rated defender Kevin Danso with a contract extension deal.
The talented right-back joined the French club in 2021 after concluding his stint in Germany, where he played for Bundesliga side Augsburg.
During his first two seasons in the French Ligue 1, Kevin Danso has made a significant impact and earned recognition as one of the league’s top full-backs.
At the conclusion of the 2022/23 football season, there were rumors linking the defender with a move away from RC Lens. Speculation in the transfer market suggested that SSC Napoli had expressed interest in acquiring the Austrian defender of Ghanaian descent.
However, despite the various interests from other clubs, RC Lens has made the decision to retain the player. As a result, the French Ligue 1 side has extended Kevin Danso’s contract ahead of the start of the 2023/24 football season.
The contract extension comes as a show of faith in Danso’s abilities and a commitment to continue building a strong and competitive squad for the upcoming season.
