Ghanaian forward Kelvin Ofori netted his first goals of the 2024-25 season in the Slovakian Nike Liga, leading FC Spartak Trnava to a dominant 4-0 victory over FK Zeleziarne Podbrezova on Saturday.
The 23-year-old attacker delivered a stellar performance, bagging a brace to inspire his team’s commanding win at the Zelpo Arena in their round 10 encounter.
Ofori opened the scoring just before half-time, converting a well-placed pass from Czech midfielder Erik Daniel to give the visitors a crucial lead. His second goal came ten minutes into the second half, doubling Trnava’s advantage after being set up by Milos Kratochvil.
Erik Daniel, who had provided the assist for the first goal, added his name to the scoresheet in the 66th minute, extending Trnava’s lead. Robert Pich, who came on as a substitute for Ofori in the 71st minute, capped off the victory with a stoppage-time goal, sealing the 4-0 triumph.
Ofori’s form has been impressive early in the 2024-25 campaign, with the Ghanaian now boasting three goals in six appearances across all competitions. His contributions have been vital for Spartak Trnava as they continue their push up the league table.
