Defender Kelvin Osei Assibey has conveyed his gratitude after making the switch from Techiman Eleven Wonders to the Ghana Premier League giants, Hearts of Oak.
The highly-rated 22-year-old defender completed his move to join the Phobians following an impressive performance in the Division One League last season.
During that campaign, he notched two goals and provided seven assists in 25 matches, a feat that earned him six Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards. His standout performance included a memorable showing in the Division One Zone One playoff against Bofoakwa Tano.
In a statement, Osei Asibey expressed his appreciation, saying, “When I thought I couldn’t reach my goals, you always supported me and kept me going. I want to thank you for helping me reach my potential” a statement from the player reads as he bids farewell to the Techiman-based club.
Osei Asibey is anticipated to bolster the defense of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League champions, addressing their defensive shortcomings from the previous season.
