Genoa attacker Kelvin Yeboah is full of excitement after netting his first goal for the club over the weekend in the Italian Serie B when they beat Venezia.
The 22-year-old registered his first Genoa goal after eight months when he scored the match winner in their 2-1 victory in the first league game of the season last Sunday.
Midfielder Manolo Portanova opened the scoring of the match in the 37th minute but Venezia equalised in the 68th minute through Danish forward Dennis Johnsen.
Yeboah was introduced in the game in the 72nd minute as a replacement to Ghanaian international Caleb Ekuban.
He scored the winning goal three minutes from time after connecting a pass from Icelandic forward Albert Gudmundsson.
Ghanaian-Italian player took to his Instagram page to express his delight for breaking his goal droughtiness for Genoa.
“Finally. Very happy for my first goal with Genoa and especially for the 3 points. Hard work always pays off. Forza Genoa.” Yeboah posted.
Yeboah, a nephew of Leeds United cult-hero Tonny Yeboah, signed for the Italian club in January this year as he joined from Austrian Bundesliga side Sturm Graz.
