Kofi Adams has assured members of the Retired Footballers Association of Ghana that their concerns will be addressed with urgency and careful attention.

“We will take these matters seriously, how we can deal with each one of them in a much more serious and deliberate way,” the Sports Minister stated during a meeting with the association at the Sports Ministry earlier today.

The engagement formed part of efforts by the Ministry to listen to the challenges facing former footballers and explore practical solutions to improve their welfare. The Minister emphasised government’s commitment to giving thoughtful consideration to the issues raised and ensuring appropriate measures are put in place.

Members of the association used the opportunity to present their concerns and called for stronger support systems for retired players who have served the nation through football.

The meeting is seen as a positive step towards strengthening collaboration between the Ministry and former footballers in Ghana.
