Reports have emerged suggesting that a member of the Asante Kotoko management team, Christopher Demanya, attempted to convince head coach Karim Zito to step down from his position by offering him a financial package.

According to information shared by Kessben Sports, Demanya is said to have proposed a compensation amount of ¢120,000 to the experienced coach as part of efforts to encourage him to resign from his role at the club.

The report further indicates that Coach Karim Zito was not willing to resign when the issue was first raised by the club. It suggests that the coach had no immediate plans to leave his position at that time, despite internal discussions within the management.

The situation has raised discussions among fans and football followers, as Asante Kotoko continues to go through internal decisions regarding team performance and leadership direction.

However, it is important to note that these claims have not yet been officially confirmed by the club. Neither Asante Kotoko nor Coach Karim Zito has released a formal statement addressing the report.

Asante Kotoko remains one of Ghana’s biggest football clubs, and any managerial decision involving the head coach often attracts strong public attention and debate among supporters.

For now, supporters will be waiting for official communication from the club to clarify the situation and confirm what steps, if any, are being taken regarding the coaching position.
