Asante Kotoko captain Samba O’Niel has set his sights on leading the Porcupine Warriors to Ghana Premier League (GPL) triumph and a strong run in CAF competitions.
“My first target is to win the league,” O’Niel said on Akoma 87.9 FM. “As captain, I want to win the league with this club and achieve everything possible. Beyond that, we also want to perform well in Africa. We want to start strongly, build confidence, and keep pushing. The most important thing is to win, and we will take it match after match.”
He praised the loyalty of Kotoko fans, stressing that their support is vital wherever the team plays.
“In Ghana, like everywhere, our supporters go everywhere with us. So whether we are playing in Accra, Kumasi, or anywhere else, I know they will come and support us,” he said.
O’Niel urged the fans to remain steadfast, particularly during challenging times.
“To my beloved supporters, I want them to continue backing us, especially when things are not going well. That is when we need them the most,” he added.
Kotoko will be counting on both strong performances and fan backing as they chase domestic silverware and aim to make an impact on the continental stage.
