Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah has issued a strong warning that changes will be made at Asante Kotoko if the club fails to win their upcoming matches against Aduana FC and Hearts of Oak.
The chairman of the Asante Kotoko Interim Management Committee made it clear that poor results will not be tolerated, following the club’s recent 3–1 defeat to Heart of Lions at the Kpando Sports Stadium. Kotoko are now under pressure as they prepare to host Aduana FC in the FA Cup Round of 16 at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, February 8.
The Porcupine Warriors will then turn their attention to next weekend’s Ghana Premier League showdown against their fiercest rivals, Hearts of Oak, also at home.
With Kotoko currently sitting fifth on the league table with 34 points, Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah stressed that failure to win both games will lead to major adjustments. He explained that the expected changes could affect the playing squad, the technical team, and the overall management structure.
Asante Kotoko are the defending FA Cup champions, making the Aduana encounter even more important as they seek to protect their title and restore confidence among supporters.
The next two matches are therefore seen as decisive moments for the Kumasi-based club, with results likely to shape the immediate future of the team.
