Mohammed Camara has agreed to join South African top-flight side Sekhukhune United after signing a pre-contract deal ahead of the new season.
The Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, whose current contract runs out at the end of the campaign, is set to leave the club as a free agent. The move was successfully arranged through his representatives, Pro Sport, based in South Africa.
Sources indicate that the agreement allows Camara to complete the season with Kotoko before making the switch, bringing an end to his time with the Ghanaian giants.
The development is expected to be a significant change for Kotoko, as the club prepares for life without their first-choice shot-stopper. Camara’s impending departure also highlights the growing trend of local talents securing moves abroad after the expiration of their contracts.
