Asante Kotoko’s Communications Director, Sarfo Duku Esq., has voiced strong disappointment over recent comments made by former management member Dr Kwame Baah Nuako regarding the club’s current situation.
Dr Baah Nuako, speaking on Sporty FM in Accra, claimed that Kotoko’s struggles this season are not due to coaching issues but stem from poor administration by the Interim Management Committee (IMC).
Responding to these assertions, Sarfo Duku described Dr Baah Nuako’s statements as “hypocritical,” emphasizing that such remarks are unfortunate and harmful to the club’s reputation.
Duku noted that during Dr Baah Nuako’s tenure at Kotoko, there were fewer media outlets and no social media scrutiny, implying that the club operated under a very different environment compared to today.
“With the comments he has made, I see it as a show of hypocrisy. Instead of protecting the image of the club as a loyal member of the Kotoko family, he seeks to disgrace it. I am highly disappointed in him,” Duku said.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko are shifting focus to the Super Clash against Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday as part of the Matchday 22 fixtures.
