Ghana Premier League champions, Asante Kotoko, were beaten in their third game in their pre-season tour after the game against Simba Soccer Club.

The Porcupine Warriors, who are on a tour in Sudan, lost 4-2 to the Tanzanian side in game 3 of their preparation.

Kotoko had suffered 3-0 and 4-0 losses to Al Hilal in their opening two games of the tour after the initial plan to jet off to Turkey was cancelled.

The Kumasi-based side went into the break trailing 3-1 despite opening the scoring in the game.

Newly-signed forward, Steven Mukwala gave Kotoko the lead in the ninth minute but the Reds could barely hold on as the Tanzanian side scored three times before the halftime whistle.

Right from recess, Simba SC grabbed their fourth of the game before Stephen Amakona reduced the deficit to make it 4-2.

With a return to the CAF Champions League on the cards, the Ghanaian side are hoping to use these friendly games to test their weight before the start of their journey in the club competition.
