Asante Kotoko will officially begin the search for a new head coach at the end of the current season, according to management member Sarfo Duku.
Speaking to Kessben TV, Duku confirmed that the club’s hierarchy has decided to formally open applications for the vacant head coach position once the campaign concludes.
“At the end of the season, we will officially open applications for the role of head coach,” Duku announced.
He further revealed that this time, Kotoko’s management is particularly focused on appointing a foreign coach to lead the team into a new era.
“This time, management is keen on bringing in a foreign coach who can bring a new perspective, discipline, and fresh tactical direction to the team,” he explained.
Kotoko have endured a turbulent 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, with inconsistent results prompting calls for a major shake-up. The club’s leadership believes that bringing in an experienced foreign coach will help rebuild the side’s competitive edge and restore their dominance both domestically and on the continental stage.
The Porcupine Warriors are expected to announce further details regarding the application process and criteria for the new head coach once the season officially ends.
