Club Licensing of the Ghana Football Association Manager, Mr. Julius Emunah has showered praise on Asante Kotoko SC Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi for his role in getting the Babayara Stadium in Kumasi to be granted temporary approval.
Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi was given a conditional approval by CAF on Wednesday to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff between Ghana and Nigeria next on March 25.
Emunah has hailed the Asante Kotoko SC administrative manager for his expertise in getting the facility approved for the big game.
“I want to thank my senior colleague and predecessor Emmanuel Dasoberi for his industrial advice. He is a senior CAF Licensing Inspector on the continent.” Emunah told Asempa FM in Accra.
“His advice is very important. We are all available. Both of us are available.”
This was after CAF Licensing Inspectors visited the Babayara Stadium last Sunday for a thorough inspection.
Ghana are looking to make their fourth appearance at the FIFA mundial after making three straight appearances between 2006 and 2014 but must pass the Super Eagles of Nigeria test.
