Asante Kotoko midfielder Richmond Lamptey made a first appearance on the pitch following his 30-month ban by the Ghana Football Association Disciplinary Committee (GFA DC) for his role in the match-fixing scandal that involved Ashantigold S.C and his former club Inter Allies.
The talented player replaced Fabio Gama in the 50th minute but the Porcupine Warriors would go on to lose at home to Berekum Chelsea as Kelvin Obeng scored a late winner for the away side.
Lamptey joined Kotoko after Allies were relegated from the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
