Newly promoted Ghana Premier League club Kotoku Royals have named for Black Stars shot stopper George Owu as their new goalkeeper’s trainer.
Owu who featured for Hasaacas, Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold during his playing days has been tasked to train the club’s goalkeeper’s to make them formidable for the coming season.
“Welcome former black stars goalkeeper to Kotoku Royals FC as our new goalkeeper coach. George Owu played at the highest attainable level in Ghana representing Asante Kotoku and Ashanti Goldfields. George’s wealth of experience will impact significantly on our goalkeepers.” An official statement from the club indicated.
Owu has played for all the Ghana national teams and was part of the Ghana squad which went to the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
