The president of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku has commended the successful one year deal with telecommunication network giants, MTN.
The FA’s deal with MTN makes the telecom giants headline sponsor of the senior National team, Black Stars.
The $2Million dollar deal is aimed at cushioning the Black Stars towards the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
“MTN joined us on the FA Cup train when nobody believed in product, when nobody believed in the FA Cup brand.
“And today we’ve announced fresh partnership between the Football Association and MTN in support of our Black Stars for the upcoming football festival up to January 2024 when hopefully we compete in the AFCON.” Kurt Okraku said at the press conference.
The Black Stars are housed in group H alongside Uruguay, Portugal and South Korea for the global football festival that starts in the 16 days.
The four-time African Champions are making their fourth appearance at the World Cup.
