Former Hearts of Oak defender Kwabena Boafo has issued a strong caution to Kelvin Osei Asibey as preparations intensify for the Super Clash against Asante Kotoko.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Boafo advised that Osei Asibey must address weaknesses in his game to avoid costly mistakes against their arch-rivals. He said, “Kelvin Osei Asibey must iron out his flaws to avoid Kotoko pitfalls, so it doesn’t become an albatross around his neck.”

Boafo’s remarks reflect concerns about the pressure that comes with the Super Clash, a fixture known for exposing even the smallest errors.

He stressed that failure to correct such issues could have lasting consequences for the player, especially in a match of such magnitude and scrutiny.

The former defender’s warning highlights the intense expectations surrounding the game, where individual performances are often magnified.

As Hearts of Oak prepare to face Kotoko, Osei Asibey is expected to play with discipline, focus, and maturity to withstand the demands of the rivalry and avoid becoming a target on the day.
