Ghanaian forward Kwaku Karikari scored his maiden goal in the Serbian Super Liga on Saturday, but his strike could not prevent FK Zeleznicar Pancevo from falling 3-1 to OFK Beograd in Round 9 of the 2025/26 campaign.
The 21-year-old, currently on loan from Danish Superliga side AC Horsens, found the back of the net at the FC Mladost Stadium to briefly draw his side level before the visitors pulled away to secure the win.
Beograd opened the scoring in the 17th minute through Dutch striker Jay Enem, but Karikari responded superbly after the half-hour mark, converting a pass from Aleksa Kuljanin to notch his first goal in Serbian top-flight football.
Zeleznicar’s momentum faded after the break, and Enem struck again early in the second half to restore Beograd’s lead. The visitors then put the result beyond doubt in stoppage time when Nikola Knezevic converted a penalty.
Karikari’s compatriot, Abdul Razak Yussif, featured for the full 90 minutes in defence for Zeleznicar.
The young Ghanaian forward has now made five league appearances this season, contributing one goal and one assist, as he looks to establish himself in European football.
