Kwasi Poku expresses excitement over transfer to Belgian side RWD Molenbeek

Ghanaian forward Kwasi Poku has shared his thoughts on his transfer to Belgian second-tier side RWD Molenbeek from Forge FC in the Canadian Premier League.

The 21-year-old, who transitioned from a left-back to a striker earlier this year, has signed a three-year contract with the former Belgian Pro League club.

Expressing his feelings about the move, Poku quoted Psalm 27:1 on social media, saying, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Despite representing Canada at the U20 level, Poku’s Ghanaian roots keep the door open for him to play for Ghana’s senior national team in the future.

Poku’s impressive form in the Canadian Premier League, where he scored 10 goals in 14 matches—including notable strikes against Major League Soccer teams CF Montréal and Toronto FC—earned him this opportunity to move to Europe. His contributions also played a key role in Forge FC’s strong position at the top of the league standings.
