Ghanaian striker Kwesi Appiah has suffered an injury which will keep him out for at least one and a half month.
Appiah who is on loan at Colchester from Crawley Town sustained an injury at training with scans and X-Rays revealing that he has sustained a tibial plateau fracture, along with a partial tear to the lateral head of the gastrocnemius muscle and a PLC injury to the joint capsule.
Appiah is expected to spend not less than six weeks in the treatment room which means he could play the last game of the season against Mansfield Town on May 8.
