President of La Liga, Javier Tebas does not hide his desire to see Lionel Messi leave PSG to return to FC Barcelona.

Free at the end of his contract with FC Barcelona, and pushed towards the exit due to the financial problems encountered by the culé club, Lionel Messi is now trying to shine at PSG, but the Argentinian’s first season in the French capital did not meet expectations.

Whistled by the public at the Parc des Princes last weekend, Lionel Messi does not plan to leave despite the rumors circulating on the subject.

Under contract until 2023, the seven-time Ballon d’Or should therefore have a new chance to win at PSG, but for his part, Javier Tebas does not hide his desire to see La Pulga return to the Spanish championship.

“If I could see Messi return to Spain, I would be delighted”

“Which player would I like to see in La Liga? Messi. I think Messi has another two or three years at a very good level. Messi at 80% of what we’ve seen, he’s still at the highest level… So if I could see Messi come back to Spain, I’d be delighted.

I think Messi would come back to Barcelona if he came back under very different economic conditions, so that it wouldn’t be, in quotes, such a ‘burden’.

I think the marriage between Messi and Barcelona was perfect and I think a reconciliation would generate important economic synergies for both parties. I think that would be a good thing economically. On a sporting level, I have no idea, I cannot analyze this side of things or the locker room, ”explains the president of La Liga to ESPN, in remarks relayed by Marca.
