Former Ghanaian skipper, Asamoah Gyan has disclosed his next replacement of his exploits in Ghana football.

Asamoah Gyan until his retirement from football last year has already etched his name in the history books of Ghana football with an enviable record of 109 caps and the highest goal scorer of the senior national team with 51 goals.

In an interview with GTV sports plus, the former Liberty Professionals striker was candid about his replacement when asked if he has seen the next Asamoah Gyan. “to your question I will say the next Asamoah Gyan is my nephew Denzel (Son of Baffour Gyan), he has improved within this few years I feel like he will fit in” asked by the hostess if he should be given the number three jersey, Asamoah gyan replied “he is already using it”

Denzel who is currently combining school with football and being natured by father Baffour Gyan and Asamoah Gyan has been labeled as a talent for the future by many football pundits who have seen him play.

The nephew of the Ghanaian idol is destined to follow in the footsteps of the Ayew family should he succeed as a top professional footballer. Denzel Gyan recently came into the limelight when he put out a stellar performance in the Tariq Lamptey Cup after his Dansoman based club Taking Over Stars won the maiden U-15 tournament last year.
