Legon Cities 2 – 0 Elmina Sharks: Royals sink Sharks

Legon Cities won their third consecutive games for the first time in the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season with a win over bottom placed team Elmina Sharks FC at the El-Wak Stadium.

Former Accra Great Olympics FC midfielder, Mitchel Otuo gave the home team a an early lead when he converted a 16th minute spot kick.

Hans Kwofie scored the second goal for the Royals to put them in a healthy two goals lead in the second half with a cool finish after a goalkeeping error.

Cities won now won three games on the bounce with 3-1 wins over Medeama SC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC before today’s 2-0 win over Sharks.

Cities will play Accra Lions in their next game as Elmina Sharks host fellow strugglers WAFA.
