After securing a draw against Asante Kotoko on Thursday afternoon, Legon Cities Head Coach, Maxwell Konadu expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance in the tough match played at El Wak Stadium.
Although his team fell behind, the coach was pleased with the resilience of his players as they managed to come from behind and earn a point.
Konadu emphasized that his team will continue to fight to improve their position on the Ghana Premier League table, noting that they missed some early opportunities to take the lead.
“We started the game strongly and should have scored very early in the game but unfortunately we missed those opportunities. It’s a balanced game but in the second half — Kotoko pushed me back to defend more. We wanted to finish the game strongly and glad Alex Aso came to score. We will keep fighting and secure a respectable position,” Coach Maxwell Konadu said.
In the second half, Kotoko dominated play, forcing Legon Cities to defend more. However, the Royals managed to finish the game strongly, with Alex Aso scoring the equalizer.
Konadu added that his team will keep fighting and aim to secure a respectable position on the league table. The draw kept Legon Cities in 14th position, preventing them from falling into the relegation zone.
