Legon Cities FC Sporting Director Roy Arthur, has lauded referee Frederick Samena‘s brilliant display in the club’s Ghana Premier League matchday 13 game against Nsoatreman FC.
The Royals continued their impressive away performance as they picked another vital point away at the Nana Kronmansah Park on Sunday, 15th January, 2023 against Nsoatreman FC.
Samena, according to the former BA United CEO, together with his two assistants namely Alhassan Abdul Rauf and Abdulai Abdul- Salam, put up an impressive display and we’re solid in almost all the decisions they took on the pitch.
Although officiating in the Ghanaian domestic football hasn’t been the best, Roy Arthur says the outcome of the game was very fair and has since commended the centre referee for being professional with his decisions throughout the entire duration of the match.
“Seriously, the refer was solid in the game. He did a good job and I commend his for that. It was an away game but I have to be honest, I think officiating was fair,” Roy Arthur told sportsworldghana.com in an interview.
Commenting further, the Sporting Director said the absence of the club’s three regular starters of Kofi Kordzi, Jonah Attuquaye and William Esso, have not had any bad effect in their recent league games.
‘We currently have three regular starters in the Black Galaxies camp in Algeria for yhe the CHAN tournament but we haven’t been affected by their absence. The boys are doing well and I salute our Manager Maxwell Konadu for a good job done.”
Legon Cities FC, are currently 12th position on the league standings with 17 points.
Their next two games are against Bechem United and Accra Hearts of Oak.
