Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo showcased his impressive form once again in the Swedish Allsvenskan, despite IF Elfsborg’s loss to GAIS on Sunday.

In the match at the Gamla Ullevi Stadium in Goteborg, Baidoo, a target for Leicester City, netted the lone goal for his team in a 2-1 defeat.

The game started with Swedish midfielder Axel Henriksson putting the hosts ahead just four minutes into the match. Henriksson swiftly added another goal, extending GAIS’s lead with a straightforward finish from close range.

Baidoo, however, managed to reduce the deficit five minutes before halftime, scoring from the edge of the box and beating goalkeeper Mergim Krasniqi.

Following the loss, Elfsborg currently sits in 9th place in the league standings after completing 10 rounds of matches.

Another Ghanaian talent, Jalal Abdullai, featured for Elfsborg for 46 minutes before being substituted for the experienced forward Simon Hedlund.

Baidoo’s performance this season in the Swedish top division has been noteworthy, tallying 4 goals and two assists in nine appearances.
