Leeds United has officially announced the signing of Nigerian defender Leonard Ngenge, who will join the club’s Academy on a contract running until the end of the 2026/27 season.
The 19-year-old centre-back moves to West Yorkshire from Remo Stars FC in Nigeria, where he made seven appearances in all competitions this season. Ngenge has also represented his country at senior level, making his debut against Senegal last year and later facing Sudan.
Leeds United expressed their excitement about the signing, welcoming Ngenge to the club and noting that he will be an important addition to the Academy setup.
Coaches hope his experience at the international level and his defensive abilities will strengthen the team and support his development in England.
