Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah showed off a new look as he made his way to Cameroon for the Africa Cup of Nations on Monday.

The Reds talisman scored his 23rd goal of the season in the 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

However, Liverpool will now be without Salah for the rest of the month while he represents Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Moh Salah showed that he is ready for the challenge.

He posted a picture alongside Aston Villa winger Trezeguet, while he was sleeping, showing off his new haircut.

Egypt begin their tournament campaign on January 11 against Nigeria and will also take on Sudan and Guinea-Bissau during the group stage.

alah will be hoping to help Egypt reach the final on February 6.

Senegal pair Edouard Mendy and Sadio Mane flew out of London on Sunday night to link up with their national team for the delayed continental tournament.

The players are arriving in Cameroon as rebels step up their activity to disrupt the tournament in the troubled Central African country, bringing new warnings of violence against fans and players.

The UK government is advising against all but essential travel to two of the Afcon host cities, Limbe and Garoua, where 12 Premier League players are due to play, including Salah, Manchester United starlet, Hannibal Mejbri and Arsenal ‘s Omar Rekik and Mohamed Elneny.

There is also the possibility of attacks across the country, warn human rights groups. Even the British High Commission in the capital, Yaoundé, has been threatened.

But Garoua in the north and Limbe in the west of Cameroon, are considered by the UK government to be particular risks.

Garoua will host Group D matches between Egypt, Sudan, Nigeria and Guinea Bissau. A host of Premier League stars will play at the Roumdé-Adjia Stadium. As well as Salah, Egypt’s squad includes, Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny and Trezeguet.
