Abass is now a free agent and can join any club that would be interested in his services in the near future.

The 23-year-old joined Mainz during the 2022 winter transfer window with the expectation of making an immediate impact from HNK Rijeka.
However, the move didn’t come to fruition and the club made a provision to end his stay.
“Issah Abass and #Mainz05 have mutually agreed to part ways. Abass’ contract, which was set to run until 30th June 2023, has been terminated.
“We wish you all the best for the future, Issah.” the German club has said.
