Maleace Asamoah scored to help Shamrock Rovers secure a convincing 4-1 victory over Drogheda United in the Irish Premier Division.

The 23-year-old forward found the net in the 66th minute, sealing an impressive performance by the league leaders at Tallaght Stadium.

The home side took control early in the match, with John McGovern opening the scoring before Matthew Healy added a second goal shortly after. Drogheda United managed to pull one back through Mark Doyle, but McGovern restored the advantage with his second goal of the game.

Asamoah then capped off the dominant display with the fourth goal, confirming Shamrock Rovers’ superiority on the night.

The striker has now scored once in six league appearances this season, as Shamrock Rovers continue to lead the table with 31 points after 15 matches.
His performance earned him a strong rating, highlighting his growing influence within the squad.
