Mali top AFCON red card chart since 2021

Mali have recorded the highest number of red cards at the Africa Cup of Nations since the 2021 edition, with four dismissals in that period.

The statistic highlights the aggressive and highly competitive nature of Mali’s recent AFCON campaigns, where their physical approach has often pushed them to the limit. While the red cards have brought challenges, Mali have still managed to remain competitive and reach the latter stages of the tournament.

As AFCON 2025 continues, discipline will be a key area for Mali to manage if they hope to go further and turn their strong performances into a historic title run.
