Malik Razak Engholm Pimpong has been crowned FC Midtjylland U19 Player of the Year following a standout campaign for the Danish club’s youth side.
The highly-rated forward, son of former Ghana international Razak Pimpong, delivered an outstanding season, scoring 30 goals across all competitions to cement his reputation as one of the club’s brightest prospects.
Pimpong netted 20 goals in 26 appearances in the Danish U19 League and added four more in just four UEFA Youth League matches.
He also impressed on the international stage, scoring six goals in 11 appearances for Denmark U18, underlining his consistency at every level.
His remarkable form earned him the U19 Player of the Year award at Midtjylland, a recognition of his rapid development and attacking influence.
The teenager’s progress has already brought him into senior team discussions, having trained with FC Midtjylland’s first team during the winter camp.
He made an immediate impression by scoring twice in training matches and was also named on the bench for two UEFA competition fixtures, highlighting growing trust from the coaching staff.
Malik’s rise continues a strong family connection with FC Midtjylland. His father, Razak Pimpong, joined the club in 2000 and went on to become a key figure during a six-year spell, making over 100 appearances.
The former striker also played for FC Copenhagen, Viking FK and Viborg FF, while earning 10 caps for Ghana. He featured at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany and represented Ghana at the 2004 Olympic Games.
With his prolific scoring record, growing senior involvement, and international experience at youth level, Malik Pimpong is fast emerging as one of the most exciting young talents in Danish football.
