European champions Manchester City have reportedly made a surprising €80 million bid for West Ham United’s Ghanaian midfielder Kudus Mohammed ahead of the winter transfer window, according to Fichajes.
The 24-year-old midfielder has been a standout performer for the Hammers this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in 12 Premier League appearances despite serving a five-game suspension for misconduct.
Kudus demonstrated his quality once again last Saturday, netting in West Ham’s thrilling 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion.
City, who are looking to bolster their squad amid a challenging run of form with just one win in their last 12 matches across all competitions, are hoping Kudus can inject creativity and flair into their midfield.
Kudus joined West Ham this season and has already made a significant impact. In his debut campaign, he featured in 45 matches across all competitions, delivering 14 goals and 6 assists.
His exceptional performances earned him a spot in Canal+’s Best African XI of last season and recognition at the 2024 CAF Football Awards.
