Premier League outfit Manchester United are keen to sign Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong on a permanent deal according to reports.
Frimpong was a graduate of Manchester City’s academy where he then moved to Celtic and established himself as a key player.
He joined Leverkusen in January 2021 on a four-year deal after a successful stint at Celtic and is now one of the best left-backs in Germany, scoring five goals this season under Xabi Alonso.
Manchester United have been monitoring him for a while according to reports and look to get ahead of potential competition and sign the youngster.
Frimpong was added to the Dutch provisional squad for the 2022 World Cup.
