The leadership at Manhyia has officially mandated the newly appointed board of directors of Asante Kotoko SC to manage the club for the next five years following their appointment last month.
The decision means the new board will take over the administration of the Porcupine Warriors from the current Interim Management Committee (IMC), which had been overseeing the affairs of the club on a temporary basis.
The directive from Manhyia forms part of efforts to establish a stable and long-term management structure for the Kumasi-based club as it continues to compete in Ghana’s top-flight football.
Under the arrangement, the board of directors will be responsible for steering the club’s strategic direction, supervising its administration, and ensuring that the team remains competitive both on and off the pitch during their five-year mandate.
The board is expected to work closely with the club’s technical team and administrative staff to strengthen the operations of Asante Kotoko, improve performance, and build a strong foundation for the future.
The transition also marks the end of the Interim Management Committee’s tenure, after the body was tasked with managing the club during a transitional period.
Supporters of the club are hopeful that the new leadership will bring fresh ideas and stability to the management of the Ghanaian football powerhouse as it seeks to reclaim its dominance in domestic football and strengthen its reputation across Africa.
The development represents another important step in the continuous efforts to reposition Asante Kotoko for sustained success in the years ahead.
