Linda Mtange and Michelle Sarpong have rejoined Hearts of Oak’s training sessions in preparation for the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League Gameweek two fixture against Nsoatreman.
Both players had suffered injuries during preseason and were unavailable for the squad that faced a 1-0 defeat against Real Tamale United (RTU) in the season’s opening game.
On Monday, September 13, Linda Mtange and Michelle Sarpong returned to full training, gearing up for the upcoming match against Nsoatreman scheduled for Sunday, September 24 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The return of these players is a significant boost for the Phobians as they seek to recover from the loss to RTU and secure a victory against Nsoatreman.
Linda Mtange, who played a pivotal role for Hearts last season, featured in 24 league matches and scored 4 goals. Michelle Sarpong, a graduate of Auroras and a member of the Hearts team that clinched the 2020/21 Premier League title and the FA Cup, is returning from a successful loan spell at Dreams FC last season.
Additionally, as part of their preparations for the Nsoatreman game, Hearts of Oak will engage in a friendly match against Eddies Football Club at the Kpobiman Sports Complex on Tuesday, September 19, with kick-off at 3 pm.
