Ghana Premier League champions Accra Hearts of Oak SC have been given a massive boost with the return of their most creative player, Ibrahim Salifu.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian playmaker has been out of the last five games in the league for the Phobians due to a horrible injury he picked.
Salifu was on the side lines when the Rainbow Boys defeated rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC at the Accra Sports Stadium on March 4th to lift the 2022 President’s Cup.
Salifu inspired the 2000 CAF Champions League winners to their first domestic trophy with the double when they won both the Premier League and the 2021 MTN FA CUP trophy.
He has returned to full training for Hearts of Oak SC who are currently struggling in the Ghana Premier League with inconsistent performsmces in the ongoing 2021-22 season.
Though he’s not expected to walk into the team straight from injury but the youngster’s return to full fitness will boost the team in subsequent matches.
Hearts will play host to the Miners, Obuasi Ashantigold SC on Sunday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium.
