Accra Lions secured a deserved 4-2 victory over Medeama SC in the Ghana Premier League on Friday afternoon, led by the outstanding performance of youngster Bassit Seidu.

In the Week 27 encounter of the 2022/23 league campaign at the Accra Sports Stadium, Accra Lions, who had not won a match in their last five, started strongly and scored just 8 minutes into the first half through the young striker.

Seidu continued to impress and grabbed his second goal in the 33rd minute to ensure his team had a comfortable lead before halftime.

However, the second half began poorly for Accra Lions, and Medeama SC seized control of the game, with Vincent Atinga scoring twice from the penalty spot to restore parity, causing frustration among the Accra Lions’ players.

But the home team rallied in the last 20 minutes of the match, with Seidu netting two more goals to secure the 4-2 win.
