Legon Cities won their third game in a row in the betPawa Ghana Premier League after defeating Accra Lions in week 28.
The Royals made the most of their home advantage, defeating the Accra Lions 2-0 at the El-Wak Stadium on Wednesday.
Cities took the lead in the 35th minute with a goal from Kofi Kordzi and headed into the halftime break ahead.
After the halftime break, Maxwell Konadu’s team proved their value again, with Ebenezer Armegah scoring the game’s second goal to secure victory over Accra Lions.
Accra Lions have been in poor form recently, winning just one of their last five games in Ghana’s top flight.
Legon Cities moves up to tenth place with 37 points, while Accra Lions lowers to seventh place with 41 points after 28 games.
