Patrick Akoto, the Communications Director of Medeama Sporting Club, has sounded a cautionary note directed at all Premier League clubs in anticipation of the forthcoming football season.
During his brief address at the unveiling of the upcoming league season on Tuesday, August 29, Akoto articulated that Medeama SC is prepared to outperform their counterparts to secure the league title once again.
“I bring you fraternal and sporting greetings from the good people of Tarkwa. The home of the Ghana Premier League champions. We are here for a very simple message. We are determined as a club to outsmash all teams in the Premier League to retain the title,” Patrick Akoto said.
Simultaneously, Medeama SC has set its sights on a broader aspiration—to advance to the group stages of the CAF Champions League following their successful navigation through the initial preliminary round.
“Let me just add Mr. President that amid all the doubts and it’s associated concomitants we have managed to navigate our way through the waters in Nigeria to beat Remo Stars and advance. We promise you that despite the humongous task against Horoya we are determined to make Ghana very very proud by qualifying to the group stage,” Patrick Akoto said in his speech.
