Ghana Premier League champions, Medeama SC have picked their first trophy of the season after beating Dreams FC to win the Super Cup.

Dubbed the champions of champions, Dreams FC, winners of the MTN FA Cup missed out on their first silverware of the season at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

Black Stars newboy Jonathan Sowah scored twice in the first half to give Medeama the advantage in the first half and that was enough for them to win the game.

Dreams FC came in stronger in the second half but could only get a consolation goal in the 78th minute of the game.

The FA Cup winners took control of the game in the second half but they were not clinical enough to take the game to penalties.

Medeama have now won two Super Cup trophies with the first coming in 2015.
